Atlanta Falcons Heads Up Football Clinics
And Parent Informational Sessions
The Atlanta Falcons Heads Up Football Clinics and Parent Informational Sessions will be held throughout the Spring all over the state of Georgia. Children ages 6 – 14 are encouraged to attend this free special one day clinic which will focus on teaching young athletes proper football tackling technique, as well as other football and life skills. This is a non-contact clinic, so there is no equipment needed.
The clinic will incorporate safe tackling techniques from USA Football’s “Heads Up Football” program into the camp along with character-based lessons. The safe, non-contact football instruction teaches children the right way to play and how to avoid injuries. Camp instructors will include current and former Atlanta Falcons players who will provide hands-on teaching of skill fundamentals, as well as position-specific training.
In addition, a free concurrent Parent Informational Session led by former Atlanta Falcons Linebacker Buddy Curry will be held for parents of the clinic attendees to learn more about proper equipment fitting, concussion awareness and the new heads up tackling technique. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided to parents in attendance.
